Southland pig facility closed

Diatranz Otsuka Limited (DOL) has closed the Southland pig facility.
The 5 full-time and 2 part-time employees were made redundant.
Further development of DIABECELL will take place in the United States using an alternate source of pigs.
All 33 pigs at the Southland pig facility were successfully re-homed across the North and South islands of New Zealand.
